Offers 2 Years Course in Computer Operation- IT-020-3:2013

Computer System technicians perform computer and peripheral set-up, installation and tests of computer hardware and software, server installation and maintenance, network connectivity set-up, as well as maintenance and basic repair of equipment. In addition, they may also be responsible to keep records of software and equipment, take details of user problems by phone, in person or via e-mail, and to identify and solve computer problems.

CERTIFICATION

SKILL ENHANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Students who are competent in Level 3 can proceed to Level 4 – Malaysian Skills Diploma in Computer System Administration.

SKM EXAMINATION 2024

On May 20th, 2024, the second-year students took their final SKM examinations. They were tested in basic HTML and coding for mobile devices, installation and maintenance of servers, setup and interfacing of computer networks, as well as configuration, general maintenance, and repair of computer systems. All the students achieved commendable grades.

1ST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS 2024

Given that the second-year students were preparing for their final exams, only the first-year students participated in the semester exams this time, where their theoretical and practical knowledge were assessed.

WORKSHOP SKILL COMPETITION

This year, the first-year students took part in poster design, while the second-year students worked on server installation. The winners were picked by virtue of the most inventive design and the quickest installation time. Congratulations to everyone!

SKM EXAMINATION 2023

In order to graduate with Level 3 SKM certificate in IT, students must pass mobile device basic HTML and coding, server installing and maintaining, computer network setup and interface, and computer system configuration, general upkeep, and repair modules. The 2nd year boys sat for their final SKM exams on May 23rd, 2023 and all of them passed with good grades.

2ND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS 2023

First-year students had their second semester workshop exams from May 15–18, 2023, as the big brothers were preparing for their final exams. They were tested in both theoretical and practical aspects as well.

ITD SEMESTER EXAM

The IT department’s students took their first- and third-semester final exams from November 14 through 18, 2022, much like students in other departments. Due to their extensive study, every student gave their best attempt when they were examined in both theory and hands-on assessments.

SKM EXAMINATION 2022

All boys sat for the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 examination on 2nd and 3rd June 2022. They underwent tests in mobile device basic HTML and coding, server installing and maintaining, computer network setup and interface, and computer system configuration, general upkeep, and repair. In order to receive their Level 3 certificate, they must also pass the ICDL test and finish the theory and practical exams.

ITD WORKSHOP SKILLS COMPETITION

After a two-year pause, all of the students in the Information Technology Department competed in the Workshop Skills and Language Competition. Additionally, the students were also required to demonstrate their knowledge and competence in Linux configuration and PC assembly. To end the competition, IT department conducted a quiz titled “Exploring Your Talents in IT”. The prospective computer technicians demonstrated exceptional talent and performed with confidence.

ITD SEMESTER EXAM

From March 7 to 11, 2022, all IT students had their second semester and fourth semester final exams. The students were evaluated in both theory and practical tests, and due to their intensive revision, they all provided their best effort.

SKM EXAMINATION 2020

Batch 18 boys sat for the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 examination on 4th and 5th of August. They were tested on computer system setup, computer maintenance, computer system repair, server installation and maintenance, computer network setup and connectivity, mobile device basic HTML and coding. They are also required to pass the ICDL examination and complete both theory and practical examination in order to get their Level 3 certificate.

WORKSHOP SKILLS COMPETITION

This year Computer Maintenance Department had four competitions like, “Exploring Your Talent” quiz, PC assembling, e-sports and typing skills. All the students displayed excellent performance and talent, and the winners received certificates and trophies.

SEMESTER EXAMINATION

Both Year 1 and Year 2 students sat for their theoretical and practical semester examination. The students are required to conduct a server configuration and also OS configuration for “CebOS” and “windows server 2008 r2” as a part of their practical examination.

SEMESTER EXAMINATION

Computer Maintenance Department (CMD) Year 2 students sat for ICDL theory examination while Year 1 did SKM theory papers. CMD semester examination also includes practical i.e. hands-on set up of the System Unit. The Year 2 students also sat for networking and router configuration tests. All the best, boys!
